CARLOS DE LEON
Carlos has been dedicated to what he calls "Ontogony" (Realization of Being or being of Being) for nearly 50 years. Specifically, he has been exploring all possible forms for integral development and the manifestation of our true potential. He reinterprets, adapts, and develops new models that are more practical and realistic for modern life conditions. This led him to deeply study various spiritual and human development traditions, always trying to understand their practical proposals and assess their originality while simultaneously seeking their common threads. He is in the process of "assembling the great puzzle of humanity's spiritual revelation

He tells us, "In our generation, we are experiencing a collective process where all the spiritual elements from different times and cultures are coming together into a shared vision. We hope that future generations can finally have a truly integrated and loving spiritual experience, one that facilitates the awakening of all and a healthy planet without human conflicts."
Due to the persistent presence of neuroses throughout time as one of the main obstacles to awakening, Carlos decided to pursue a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. After training in various psychotherapy systems, with a particular emphasis on somatic approaches, he created his own psychotherapy system. In this regard, Carlos has trained a large number of therapists internationally and founded the Association of Transpersonal Psychology and Development, Ontogony, in Mexico.
In this field, Carlos is known in certain circles as a pioneer in Mexico for presenting an integrative model between Western and Eastern psychology. Carlos is convinced that we should make knowledge and effective growth methods accessible to everyone, avoiding secrecy, elitism, and manipulations, without the power games historically associated with spirituality. Therefore, he has participated in various projects to share teachings over time. Some of these include:
-
Creating the first school in Mexico for Chi kung, the "7 Lotos" school.
-
Leading "Casa Amatlán," an educational and development center initiated by Carlos Ortiz de la Huerta at the suggestion of Carlos Castaneda. Under Carlos de León's leadership, Casa Amatlán became the main spiritual teaching center, promoting the brotherhood of various paths under one roof. It was at Casa Amatlán that Roshi Ejo Takata decided to teach during the last period of his life.
-
Being responsible for bringing teachings of Mahamudra, Dzogchen Nigma, and Dzogchen Bon to Mexico for the first time by great masters, primarily His Holiness Drukpa Rinpoche, Lama Tharchin, Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, and His Eminence Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak.
Currently, he continues his teaching work through Ontogony Evolution in Canada and regularly conducts in-person retreats.
